Stop Making Fun of David Wright

As many of you may know, David Wright was out with a concussion for a little while recently. Wright came back two days ago wearing a new helmet that would protect him better if he got hit in the head again. The helmet, however looks horrible. It makes him look pretty funny. Does he need us (the fans) telling him that? No. Look, if this helmet is going to protect players, why wouldn't they want to wear it? What are we in High School where if you where something funny looking everyone laughs at you? What happens if Mark Teixeira gets hit in the head and he needs to wear it....will we be laughing then? It's a horrible blend of idiocy and ignorance that the fans are throwing Wright's way.
