The Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins in game one of the ALDS tonight 7-2. Derek Jeter went 2-2 with a HR, 2 RBI, and 2 BB's. Hideki Matsui also hit a HR to dead center field (monument park)
CC Sabathia was stellar pitching 6.2 Innings giving up 8 hits and 1 ER (2 runs)
Phil Hughes, Phil Coke, Joba Chamberlain, and Mariano Rivera all combined for 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
