SUCCESS':
1. Robinson Cano had a tremendous year.
2. Relief options such as David Robertson and Alfredo Aceves emerged.
3. Chad Gaudin, Eric Hinske, and Jerry Hairston Jr. were great pick-ups.
4. Mark Teixeira and CC Sabathia were worth the money.
5. Andy Pettite was a bargain.
6. Phil Hughes regained his confidence.
7. Brett Gardner and Melky Cabrera made a great tag team in Center Field.
8. Jorge Posada and Hideki Matsui both came back from injuries in a HUGE way.
9. Ramiro Pena and Francisco Cervelli emerged as capable MLB players.
10. The Yankees made the playoffs, won the division, and had the best record in the MLB!
HONORABLE MENTION: SIDNEY PONSON WAS NOT USED ONCE BY THE YANKEES DURING THE SEASON!(He was on the Kansas City Royals)
