(8/16) On Sunday, the Yankees lost game three of four to the Durham Bulls by a score of 5-2. Russ Ortiz only allowed 9 hits and 3 earned in just 4 innings. After the game, Ortiz opted out of his contract, ending his Yankee career. Kevin Russo drove in RBI 23 and Chris Stewart drove in number 15.
(8/17) On Monday, the Yankees tied the series against the Bulls with a win; 9-3. Newly activated Josh Towers went 6 innings, allowing just three hits and striking out five, improving his record to 5-6.
