Notes: CC Sabathia is 6-0 lifetime in 10 head to head starts against Buehrle. Earlier this year these two aces faced off....Melky Cabrera hit for the cycle in that game, as the Yankees beat the Sox 8-5. Buehrle is 1-6 with a 6.84 ERA lifetime vs. the Yanks. CC Sabathia is 15-4 with a 3.77 ERA.
SATURDAY: TBA vs. RHP Sergio Mitre (2-1, 6.82)
As of now I have no clue who will start this game. Mitre faced the Chisox earlier this year, losing in a 10-5 loss. He pitched 3 innings giving up 7 hits and 5 ER. In his career he is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in 3 starts against the Whitesox.
SUNDAY: RHP Freddy Garcia (0-1, 6.75) vs. RHP Joba Chamberlain (8-4, 4.34)
Garcia was wanted in spring training by the Yankees, but chose the Mets instead. Garcia is 4-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 9 career starts against the Yankees. Joba faced the Whitesox 5 times in his career (all in relief) pitching 5 innings giving up 5 hits and 1 ER.
